Other Staff

Ginny Burgin

Ginny Burgin

Ginny's Christian journey began when God saved her in 1972. Following a path of calling to the prophetic, which led her through much persecution and pain, she became involved in the church which later became City Church Sheffield. She's served in many areas from toilet cleaning to group leading. Currently she describes her role in the words of Jeremiah chapter 1:7b "You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you." This outworks in teaching, training, assisting pastorally, making known what she feels God is impressing upon her, and serving other churches as part of the ChristCentral wider team.

Ben Gibbins

Ben Gibbins

Ben is the church administrator, which mainly means trying to keep a handle on our buildings, communications and many of our projects. He also has responsibility for leading a Core Group, a Community Group and looking after our students. Arriving in Sheffield as a student in 1995, Ben has been involved with the church since it began; and after working as a civil servant for a number of years, he became the church administrator in 2008. Ben is married with three daughters and lives in Walkley.

Chris Marriott

Chris Marriott

Chris takes care of both the church finances and our social action projects: Jubilee Food Bank, Jubilee Money and Grub Club. In 2012 he felt called to leave his job at Sheffield College to set up Jubilee Food Bank. Chris' journey of faith began at the age of 12 when he met Jesus at a Billy Graham event in Derbyshire. As a student he was stirred to join a “word and spirit” church during a year in Mexico and joined City Church Sheffield on his return. He has been involved here ever since — serving in a variety of ways in youth ministry, leading worship, PA and hospitality. Chris is married to Bryony and they live in Pitsmoor.

Bev Jarvis

Bev Jarvis

Born and bred in Sheffield, Bev first came to City Church Sheffield in 2007 after she became a Christian at a special outreach event at the Octagon Centre. She had become familiar with the Church after taking her son to Kids Club on Saturday mornings (an event CCS ran for a number of years). Bev mans the Jubilee Food Bank office at Shirecliffe Community Centre, organising volunteers, overseeing collections and deliveries, arranging packing and generally ensuring everything runs smoothly. In her spare time Bev enjoys reading, craft and card making. She has been married for 20 years and has three children and three grandchildren.
